Canada landed a record number of permanent residents in 2021 and recently announced immigration level plans for 2022-2024.Canada has revised its immigration target from 4,11,000 immigrants in 2022 to 4,65,645.Immigration is the backbone of the country. Canada targets admitting 1.3 million Permanent Residents between 2022 and 2024.
Immigration level plans for coming three years (2022-2024) are as follows:

The honorable Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Mr. Sean Fraser announced Canada’s highly ambitious immigration plans, which will help with economic recovery, post-pandemic growth, and labor shortages. The immigration level plan for 2022- 2024 is a full package plan.
Highlights of the 2022-2024 plans are as follows:
- Admission account for near 1.14 % of the Canadian Population with nearly 60 % admission to the economic class by 2024.
- Spreading the benefits of immigration to the Canadian community.
- Retention of talent in Canada by granting permanent residents to the temporary residents who are already in Canada (via time-limited pathways i.e. TR to PR) pathways.
- Provide permanent residency through Humanitarian Immigration to support global crisis
- Special programs to grant Permanent t residence to refugee claimants working in the health care sector during the pandemic.
In 2022, about 56% of the immigrants will arrive through economic class pathways like Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program, and Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident pathway. The Provincial Nominee Program will be the main program for inviting immigrants in 2022. About 83,500 ITA’S will be issued through the PNP program this year. The Express Entry Program will invite less than average but at an increasing ratio and reach 1,11,500 invites in 2024. Spouse, partner, and children programs will target 80,000, and the Parents and Grandparents Program will have 25,000 permanent resident admissions in the year 2022. The Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident pathway targets admitting 40,000 immigrants in 2022.

The level plans are a projection of how many permanent residents will be admitted to Canada. It sets targets and ranges for overall admission of immigration through different categories. Immigration level plans targets and ranges for the years 2023 and 2024 will be confirmed or adjusted by November 1.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada declared its new and high immigration targets and now is the best time to make a decision and apply for Permanent Residency in Canada.
